Church of the Open Door (www.thedoor.org) in Maple Grove, Minnesota is on the verge of a new chapter in ministry and is eager to welcome an authentic, energized and relationally gifted pastor and leader to help them live out their mission “to invite people to engage in the struggle of becoming fully alive in God.” Open Door is seeking a Lead Pastor who will love them, lead them, and help them meaningfully engage in community, spiritual formation and mission for the sake of others.
This non-denominational church of 1,000+ is ready for a refreshed plan for a unified structure, strategy and direction. Passionate, creative biblical teaching is central here. The Lead Pastor will teach out of the well of deep personal love and passion for God and His Word, and effectively equip and develop a teaching team. A few years ago, the church launched the Center for Spiritual Formation, which brings together individuals for a two-year journey to learn simple ways to practice spiritual rhythms that fit with life, and that bring them into the presence of God so that God can change them.
Relational and personally engaging, this man or woman will be passionate and energized about ministry in the local church. As an organizational leader, the right “fit” will be wise, spiritually mature and experienced. Collaborative and team oriented, this pastor-leader will be committed to prayerful, consensus-based discernment and decision-making. Confident, yet humble, the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who inspirationally teaches and invites people to join with what God is doing so that Open Door can realize its full potential.
