The Candidate
The ideal Lead Pastor will be a spiritually mature man whose life and ministry flow from an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. He will be a gifted expository preacher, communicating biblical truth with clarity, conviction, warmth, and practical application. Equally important, he will be a genuine shepherd, one who loves people, listens well, models faith, and finds fulfillment in pastoral care. Emotionally intelligent and confidently humble, he will relate naturally to a congregation of accomplished adults. He will lead collaboratively with elders, staff, and ministry leaders, bringing organizational clarity without losing relational warmth. Rather than arriving with a predetermined agenda, he will earn trust, honor the past, and thoughtfully guide the congregation toward a shared vision. With a missional heart, he will inspire mature believers to see retirement as a season of continued growth, service, and Kingdom impact.
