Hershey Free Church, Hershey, PA, a healthy, transformational congregation with a strong presence in its community and surrounding region, is actively seeking a Senior Pastor to shepherd and guide its next season of ministry. Hershey Free Church (HFC) is a thriving, transformational, and multigenerational congregation with a rich legacy of faithful leadership, strong biblical teaching, and a long-standing reputation as a leader in church planting throughout the region. With about 1,000 people calling HFC home, the church combines deep theological conviction with a warm, welcoming culture and a clear mission to “Live with Jesus, Love like Jesus, and Lead others to do the same.” As it enters this planned, yet significant Senior Pastor leadership transition, HFC is well-positioned for a new season of growth by building on its strengths in discipleship, expository preaching, and community engagement. The next Senior Pastor will lead the church into its next chapter of impactful and
gospel-centered ministry.

The Candidate

The ideal pastor is a humble, relational, and emotionally intelligent leader who understands that trust is built over time within a deeply rooted and established community. He is a thoughtful builder, one who will honor the church’s rich legacy while casting a compelling and hopeful vision for the future. This pastor will communicate with clarity, warmth, and conviction, demonstrating visionary leadership and the ability to unify the body around a shared gospel-centered mission. Organizationally, the candidate will be a clear, structured leader who values strong communication, aligns ministries with mission, and fosters healthy, collaborative team dynamics. As a preacher, he will be a gifted expositor, combining theological depth with engaging, accessible communication that connects with both long-time members and newer attendees. Embodying a pastoral heart, he will be approachable, authentic, and deeply invested in people, which will allow him to equip the congregation to move from comfort to calling and to actively live out their faith in the local community and beyond.
