WSBC holds a conservative, soft complementarian view and embraces women in leadership roles on the Board and key committees. Deeply committed to biblical truth and Baptist distinctives, the church values unity and thoughtful engagement on complex issues. The next pastor will be instrumental in helping WSBC grow younger, reach more families, and disciple new believers, while leading a dedicated team of six full-time and two part-time staff toward greater congregational effectiveness and missional impact.
The Candidate
The incoming Senior Pastor will demonstrate an intimate relationship with Jesus, pray with conviction, and listen attentively to the Holy Spirit. This pastor will be more than a gifted communicator—this person will preach with substance, clarity and inspiration, guiding the church toward deeper spiritual maturity. In a thoughtful and highly engaged community, this leader will
build trust through humility, open communication and shared leadership. Relational at heart, this pastor will invest in people—staff, elders, and congregants alike—cultivating a culture of grace, accountability and mutual encouragement. Passionate about discipleship, this leader will equip the church with clear pathways for spiritual and numerical growth, mobilizing people of all ages to live out their faith with purpose.
