The Big Idea
Located in Wauconda, IL—about 40 miles from Chicago—Life Bridge Community Church, founded in 1953, is entering a new season following the retirement of its Senior Pastor after 15 years of faithful service. This multi-generational, biblically grounded EFCA congregation is healthy, aligned, and energized for growth. It is seeking a relational and spiritually grounded Senior Pastor to lead with clarity and authenticity. The church is seeking to make a greater impact in their region, seeing people come to Jesus and become contributing persons in the Kingdom of God. Governed by an elder-led, staff-empowered model, the church is financially stable, minimally encumbered by debt, actively hiring key staff, and positioned for expanded ministry impact in the Lake County region.
The Candidate
The incoming pastor will enjoy the opportunity to lead Life Bridge confidently into a new season—strengthening unity across services, rebuilding youth and young adult ministries, clarifying discipleship pathways, and mobilizing the church for greater local mission. The next Senior Pastor will be a spiritually mature, relational shepherd who preaches biblically sound, culturally engaging messages. This pastor will build trust through humble and transparent leadership and collaborate effectively with elders and staff to cast clear vision and drive healthy alignment. With emotional intelligence and strategic insight, he will develop the team, innovate thoughtfully while honoring the church’s legacy, and equip the congregation to live out its calling as disciples who make disciples.
