Ascent is a growing congregation just north of Colorado Springs. The incoming pastor will oversee middle and high school ministries and the volunteers/interns that serve in those spaces. Key areas of focus will be casting vision, recruiting volunteers, empowering leaders, providing stability, and increasing student engagement. Partnering with Ascent Kids and establishing an intentional “bridge of ministry” to ensure continuity will be essential. Investing in discipleship and engaging students that are outside the church will be a welcomed approach.

The right candidate for Ascent will be invested and rooted in the church, the community, the lives of students and their parents. The ideal leader possesses an energizing, relational and engaging personality, with the ability to equip and empower others while still taking the time to be present and interact with students consistently. The selected candidate will communicate and partner with parents with excellence and generate an enthusiasm to draw students that may be “on the fringe” to further explore the ministry.
