LifePoint Church in Storden, MN (https://lifepointchurchmn.com) is a healthy, multi-generational congregation devoted to “leading people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” After nearly 30 years of faithful and excellent service in leading the church, LifePoint’s Senior Pastor has retired. The congregation believes the future is ripe with opportunity and is excited and ready to embrace all God has in store for them.
LifePoint Church is a loving and hospitable church family of about 100 people eager to continue to impact their community. They genuinely love Jesus and embrace a conservative view of the Scriptures and life. The contemporary service is well-executed and attractive, allowing younger people to connect with the worship experience while also encouraging older congregants to express their devotion to Jesus. The people are deeply committed to their church and are anxious to follow a relational pastor who proclaims the Gospel with knowledge and conviction. There are no strangers at LifePoint Church, and hospitality is taken seriously. The church is growing, and the original sanctuary is rapidly becoming too small for the exciting things taking place. The next season of ministry needs to thoughtfully address this issue.
The new lead pastor will have a value for loving people in a variety of settings, from the coffee shop down the street to the local school systems to the variety of activities LifePoint offers to the community. Someone who values a slower pace with high relational impact will do well here. LifePoint desires to call a pastor who is experienced, energized, and excited to build on a healthy foundation laid by the last 30 years of ministry from the former pastor. The right fit for this role will be theologically conservative and prefer expository preaching. He will ensure the sermons are not only biblically rich but are grounded in real-world application. The ideal candidate will shepherd people well and model the beauty of Jesus in their own spiritual walk. He will strive to be a positive presence in the community as he lovingly reaches into the community with the gospel message.
LifePoint Church is situated in the rural community of Storden, MN. It is approximately halfway between Minneapolis, MN to the northeast and Sioux Falls, SD to the southwest. While the town of Storden is very small, most services and amenities are located just a few minutes away in several directions of the church. People in Cottonwood County enjoy the fulfilling lives they live in community with one another. The four seasons of southwest Minnesota remind people of the beauty and consistency of a loving creator God.
