Calvary Church, a multi-site church with campuses in Roseville, MN and White Bear Township, MN, is thrilled to welcome a dynamic and experienced Senior Pastor to shepherd this congregation. With a heart for ministry and a passion for discipleship, the new leader will help advance the mission of raising up followers of Jesus.
The Big Idea
Calvary embraces a rich blend of backgrounds, faith traditions, and worship styles. Its multi- generational and multi-ethnic community reflects a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, political perspectives, and worship preferences. While recent years have presented challenges, the church is experiencing renewed optimism and hope for the future. Established in conservative, evangelical, and egalitarian theology, Calvary operates under a collaborative leadership model. A nine-member, congregation elected Elder Board – comprised of men and women – governs alongside the Senior Pastor to advance the church’s mission. Supported by a dedicated team of 38 staff members (13 full-time, 25 part-time), the church manages a $2.9M budget, plus $385K for missions, while steadily reducing its debt from $5M to $1.9M in just five years. With a deep passion for outreach, Calvary is committed to sharing the gospel, baptizing new believers, and discipling Christ-followers of all ages.
The Candidate
Calvary Church is seeking a Senior Pastor who walks closely with Jesus, prays fervently, and listens to the Holy Spirit. More than a preacher, this pastor will deliver relatable, substantive, and inspirational messages that guide the church in spiritual growth. This leader will embrace the challenge of a dynamic, multi-site church, building trust through transparency, open communication, and collaboration. Investing in relationships with staff, leaders, and congregants will foster a culture of trust and accountability. Committed to discipleship, the new pastor will develop pathways for spiritual and numerical growth across all ages and ministries, equipping members to live out their faith and lead in their communities. With wisdom and vision, the Senior Pastor will navigate the complexities of a diverse congregation, uniting the campuses under a shared mission. Church staff seeks a leader who empowers, encourages, and fosters a thriving, collaborative team dedicated to transformational ministry.
