Compass Kids Ministry is ready for a leader who will enter the ministry with a creative vision and an ability to craft and execute a plan to ensure the ministry is effective, vibrant, and fun. This individual will be given a wide berth to dream big and go for it! The next Children’s Pastor will have the opportunity to work with the team to innovate and invent new ways to create the “wow” factor for kids; to renovate the current space so a colorful and inviting environment reflects the church’s value for kids as well as a vibe that draws kids and their parents into ministry areas. With an understanding of how kids learn, the Children’s Pastor will join with the Family Ministry team to ensure a solid scope and sequence of ministry from birth to college.
Compass is looking for a leader who is energizing, relational and passionate to help kids know Jesus personally and to grow in their faith. Experienced in working with teams and volunteers, the right person will be warm, upbeat, and outgoing, able to develop authentic relational connections with lots of different kinds of people. Organized and approachable, he or she will understand how to develop a strategic plan and compelling vision for a vibrant and effective ministry. He or she will be skilled in identifying the potential in people and in identifying the kinds of improvements that elevate the ministry.
