Tim West
SENIOR MINISTRY CONSULTANT
Tim came to Christ in high school and soon after received a call to full-time ministry. This pursuit led him to plant a church in Florida and in Australia. He most recently served as the lead denominational executive providing resource and coaching in the state of Texas. His wide multi-cultural experience, passion for the church, and energetic love for Jesus empowers his desire to serve church leaders. As an NL Moore Ministry Consultant, one of his central tenets is that high-capacity leadership is an indispensable building block for healthy churches and therefore leaves no stone unturned in the quest to find God’s person for your ministry. Tim received his doctorate from Anderson University and also earned master’s degrees in both business and theology. Tim and his wife, Cindy, love searching for the most idyllic location to park their Airstream travel trailer. He has two grown children and six young grandchildren.
Ann Paulson
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
Ann brings her organizational skills and communication background to her role at NL Moore & Associates. She is an excellent resource who is dedicated to her role of providing support for the entire NL Moore team and its clients. Ann holds a B.A. in Communication from Augsburg University and has worked in the marketing, communication and public relations fields for one of the largest hospitals in Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Health. She worked as the communication and marketing director at a large evangelical church in the eastern suburbs of St. Paul. She loves Vikings football, Twins baseball and vacationing in Maui. Ann and her husband have two grown children and a daughter-in-law and live in Minnesota.
Abby Knowles
ASSESSMENT DIRECTOR
Abby uses her expertise to help discern fit to the job, team and culture of the clients we represent. She has a background that includes Christian higher education, denominational settings and the local church. Her keen insight, ministry experience, and communication skills make her an exceptional resource throughout the process. Abby is trained and qualified in CliftonStrengths, Ministry Insights, and EQ-i, among others. She is passionate about helping Christian pastors and leaders better understand themselves so they can be empowered into their calling. Abby received a Bachelor’s degree from Anderson University and a Masters from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. She and her husband have three active children and make their home in Indiana.
Laura Clapp
ASSESSMENT ASSOCIATE
As our resident Enneagram expert, Laura is a Certified Enneagram Coach, specializing in team assessment and coaching as well as candidate assessment and screening. She loves being present with people when the light bulb comes on and they realize why they do what they do best. Laura holds a B.S. degree in Educational, Counseling and Youth Ministries from Liberty University, and a Master degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. A pastor’s wife, for the past 25 years she has partnered with her husband in executive ministry and together they co-founded Beyond Survival, a non-profit ministry for orphans and vulnerable children in Eswatini, Africa. At home in beautiful Colorado, Laura and her husband love to spend time with their six children.
Kye Samuelson

Kye brings his expertise in the field of assessments and coaching to the NL Moore & Associates team. With a background in recruiting, sales, coaching and consulting, Kye serves as an assessment associate for key client relationships. Trained in a broad suite of tools (including CliftonStrengths and Ministry Insights), he is passionate about seeing tools come to life in Kingdom-building organizations, churches and not-for-profits. His professional experience and consulting practice includes leadership development solutions for both large corporations and individuals. Kye has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Hope College, and an MBA from The University of St. Thomas, Opus College of Business. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and four kids, enjoys the outdoors and leading worship music at his local church.

Kara brings an extensive background of human resources/recruitment to her role as a Search Associate at NL Moore & Associates. As an HR professional, devoted Christian and the wife of a pastor, Kara brings a blend of life experience, faith perspective and professional training that serves our clients well. Kara sources strong candidates for the various roles we represent. She has a warm, sincere personality with a gift to actively engage others in honest communication. Kara is experienced in evaluating potential candidates and is passionate about bringing the right individual to a position for the right reasons. Kara received her Bachelor degree from Wheaton College. Her favorite day of the year is the one she and her husband spend walking together, rain or shine. They have three beautiful children and live in Tennessee.

Deb has an outgoing personality, a love of life and is quick to laugh. She has extensive experience working as an administrative assistant for churches in Minnesota and Florida. Deb’s Bachelor’s degree in Social Work came from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. She also has an Administrative Assistant Associate’s degree from Kirkwood Community College in Iowa. Deb enjoys helping people recognize their gifts and learn who they are in Christ. She is detail-oriented and loves being part of a team working for a common goal.
Deb’s passions are her faith in God, organization, her family and dogs (they have two chihuahuas). Her interests are cooking, home herbalism, aromatherapy with essential oils and gardening. Deb also loves reading and listening to music. She and her husband live in Iowa.

Always eager to learn something new, Greta enjoys organizing, improving processes, and seeing a project to completion. She enjoys gardening, reading, experimenting in the kitchen, having deep spiritual conversations, and spending quality time with her husband and kids. Greta received a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University in Business Administration. She and her husband have four kids and live near Annapolis, Maryland.

With a background in marketing, product development and organization, Nancy is dedicated to using her skills to find and collect information that leads to the best candidates for our clients. Nancy loves supporting the team to ensure our clients have their expectations met. She attended Bethel University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Nancy partners with her husband to lead the Young Life ministry in the Colorado mountain town where they live. In her free time, you will find her out for a walk with her dog, enjoying small town community life and working with high school girls in discipleship groups. She and her husband also love any time they can catch with their two grown daughters.
Jodie Buchholz

Jodie is an organized and strategic-thinking research associate who is passionate about the local church. She uses her data system administration and organizational experience to find potential candidates for clients. She brings broad work experience to the team; from Christian higher education, secular business, and the local church. Jodie has co-led with her husband young married small groups, served as a key leader in a church plant and on her church board. Jodie and her husband have three married daughters and live in Minnesota. On a free day, you will find them spending time with grandkids, traveling, walking, golfing, biking or hiking.
Keith Moore
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
As our Operations Director, Keith serves behind the scenes to keep the internal systems and operations of NL Moore & Associates running in smooth order. As a retired airline pilot and training captain, Keith has an eye for the details and uses his extensive experience to support the team in a variety of ways. He earned a Bachelor degree from the University of Louisville. Over the years, he has used his gifts to serve on his church Board, to chair his church building program and to serve as a small group coach. He is faithful in prayer for our clients and our team. In his free time Keith enjoys golf, reading, and time with his family and friends.
John & Ruth Ann Larson
COACHING ASSOCIATES
John and Ruth Ann Larson have committed themselves to local church leadership throughout their lives. Having served in pastoral ministry for more than three decades, they understand the unique challenges of church leadership, transitions, and succession. After experiencing their own successful succession several years ago, they now come alongside pastors and spouses who are navigating this once-in-a-lifetime journey. They each earned a Bachelor degree from Trinity International University. John went on to obtain a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. They have been trained and certified in ministry and leadership coaching. The Larson’s are at home in Minnesota. They enjoy reading, ballroom dancing, and time with their three grown children and numerous beautiful and brilliant grandchildren.
Marc Maillefer
COACHING ASSOCIATE
Marc has a passion to encourage and strengthen church leaders for greater joy and effectiveness. He loves the local church and has served as a pastor for over 40 years, first as a Youth Pastor and then as a Lead Pastor in a large multi-site church. Throughout the years, Marc has encouraged people to follow Christ. He has benefitted from coaches and has a long history of coaching, mentoring over 50 interns and developing scores of staff. He has four decades of experience working with church boards and committees, gaining wisdom into the complexity of leading a local church. He has an MDiv and DMin from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Marc and his wife, Lori, have five adult children and two grandsons. Marc loves all things outdoors, baking sourdough bread, a good remodeling project and most all, sports.
Rick Clapp

Rick grew up as an “Army brat” all over the United States and Europe. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, KY and his Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, TX. He served 20+ years as an Executive Pastor before moving into the realm of intentionally coaching pastors and leaders toward greater effectiveness. Also, he has been trained as a StratOp Facilitator. He coaches leaders across the United States, Canada and Africa on their executive strategies, systems/processes and best practices. Rick is married to Laura and they have six children. In his free time, he enjoys biking, Jeeping, family, big breakfasts and Dallas Cowboys football.
