Calvary Community Church (calvarystcloud.org) is excited to welcome an experienced Senior Pastor to lead them in their mission to make more and maturing disciples of Jesus Christ in St. Cloud and around the world.
Calvary is emerging out of a challenging season. With the help of an intentional Interim Pastor, they have begun to turn the tide and are rebuilding. People are re-engaging, and volunteer-led teams are being formed and deployed into service in various ministries. Hope and excitement are growing as people begin to step out in faith and trust God with their future. The church will benefit from a Senior Pastor who brings a proven ability to develop, manage, coach, and equip staff and volunteers. Calvary has long supported missions but aspires to be a true lighthouse for Jesus in their own community, too. They would love their pastor to guide the integration of outreach, missions, and evangelism into the discipleship pathway so the church can make a significant impact for God’s glory in St. Cloud, MN and beyond.
There is so much potential to be realized at Calvary, beginning with the people. Calvary will respond well to a pastor who prayerfully leads out of the overflow of an abiding personal walk with God. Modeling genuine spiritual passion, he will be an excellent, dynamic speaker who is confident in God’s redemptive power to transform lives and perspectives. A relational pastor who exudes warmth and relishes opportunities to get to know his congregation will fit well here. Creating a healthy, empowered and well-connected team environment is a clear priority, so he must work well with people and be experienced in developing staff and volunteers, delegating responsibilities, and lovingly holding people accountable to follow through.
As the face of Calvary, the right pastor will connect easily with others, fostering opportunities for Calvary to partner with other churches or organizations to make a greater impact for Jesus in the St. Cloud area. A pastor who is collaborative will enjoy working with a team to set goals and celebrate milestones as the church steadily and effectively builds momentum toward a bright future.
At roughly 69,000 people, St. Cloud is a university town located in central Minnesota just over an hour north of Minneapolis. It is home to St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud Technical College, and near several other private colleges. With an increasingly diverse population that includes immigrants from a number of different countries, St. Cloud is a hub for shopping, arts, and entertainment in the region.
