Bayou City Fellowship (BCF) is an extraordinary place. Located in the heart of Houston, TX, it is a vibrant, growing, and multi-site congregation. The founding principle was a commitment to the radical pursuit of Jesus, and this influences everything they do from worship to small groups to mission and outreach. After an interim period, the church is now ready to call its next Senior Pastor.
Bayou City Fellowship was launched in 2011 with a core group of 50 people, initially starting in the Spring Branch community. The compelling worship, Gospel-focused messages, and active outreach resonated with the local community. In late 2013, a second campus was launched in Cypress with the Tomball campus opening in 2019. The Acts-like growth experienced in the first few years has been astounding, and today BCF welcomes over 2,500 worshipers each week.
The incoming Pastor will lead out of deep fellowship with Jesus, reliance upon the Holy Spirit and will be nurtured on the unfailing Word of God. With a deep love of the Scriptures, the new Senior Pastor prefers an expository style of preaching where the beauty of the text comes alive in each message. Since congregants want to go deeper in the Word, it is important for the Pastor to be able to relate eternal truths in everyday language. BCF desires a pastor who is not only a visionary leader, but one who can lead a large, complex organization. The man chosen as Senior Pastor will bring an ability to champion the design and mission of the church through both spiritual and strategic leadership.
