Pathway Church in Vero Beach, FL is eager to welcome a Pastor of Discipleship and Outreach to join their exceptional team as they move out on mission to love God and love all people in our pathway.
This position will provide spiritual leadership, structure, direction, and training for Pathway’s discipleship and outreach ministries. God is up to something good at Pathway. Transformational, Christ-centered momentum continues to build as people express a hunger for the presence of God, renewal, and empowerment of all the spiritual gifts. This incoming pastor will play a key role in exploring how to integrate discipleship and outreach (local and global) into the discipleship journey, helping ministry staff and lay leaders enthusiastically work together effectively. This includes removing barriers to engagement
(ethnic, churched/de-churched, generational, socio-economic, etc.), so all people feel welcome and included. Communication is key, so this individual will be a skilled communicator interpersonally, organizationally, and from the pulpit.
The ideal candidate will be spiritually mature, serving and leading all people out of the overflow of a vibrant personal walk with Jesus. This person will be an energized and gifted communicator, teammate, and ministry leader with experience in a variety of ministry contexts, including preaching in weekend services. Relationships are the currency of Pathway; the ideal candidate will be a positive and encouraging leadership presence, relating easily with others and contextualizing their approach to the uniqueness of the person or situation. Pathway hopes to call a pastor who understands how to develop people, build up the team, and collaborate with others to create plans and bring them to life.
