They are a healthy, multi-generational body of believers whose passion is to focus on Jesus and serving the community. Since its founding in 1985, its spiritual investment in Lincoln has left an indelible fingerprint on the city. They believe their mission boils down to helping people discover genuine faith, develop authentic relationships, and deploy for meaningful impact. He will strive to make Jesus the subject of conversation but will not be afraid of speaking the truth in love, especially on the harder texts. The next leader will have a vision for impacting the community and the world. He will know how to lead a highly competent staff of ten people, empowering them to grow in their calling and ministry areas. Relationally warm, the incoming pastor will love shepherding people of all ages, ethnicities, and viewpoints.

It ranks among the highest U.S. cities for livability due to its low cost of living, great schools, and friendly, community-minded residents. Lincoln was designated as a “refugee-friendly” city and is one of the largest resettlement communities in the country.
